The night sky around the world is getting brighter, from both human settlements as well as the growing number of satellites in space. Solutions are at hand to save the dark sky without sacrificing night-time safety. In this limited series, we explore the danger the planet and our health face under light pollution, the strategies to solve this unfolding crisis, and the various aspects academics, educators, policy makers, and activists are involved in to save the night.
